A division of the Department of Justice called the Community Relations Service were sent to Sanford, Florida to help manage anti-Zimmerman protests between March and April of 2012 according to documents obtained by Judicial Watch. the CRS spent $674.14 between March 25-27 that were related to having been and I quote, “deployed to Sanford, FL, to work marches, demonstrations, and rallies related to the shooting and death of an African-American teen by a neighborhood watch captain.”
The CRS spent an additional $1,142.84 for the same purpose between march 25-28.It continues. CRS spent $892.55 “to provide support for protest deployment in Florida” between March 30-April 1, and $751.60 “to provide technical assistance to the City of Sanford, event organizers, and law enforcement agencies for the march and rally on March 31.” Now guess who was the featured speaker at the March 31st rally that was called "The March for Trayvon Martin,"? Why none other than the professional racist Al Sharpton.
This is the same Al Sharpton that promoted the Tawana Brawley hoax in 1987. If you don't remember or weren't born yet let me refresh or inform you. Tawana was 15 when she lied to police to explain for her 4 day disappearance and told them that she had been abducted and raped by six white men some of them were police offers. . Al Sharpton became one of her advisers and began raising all kinds of hell. Doing his normal evil white man rants and the media couldn't wait to run with it. As the days went on her story fell apart on every level and her parents even admitted to helping with the hoax. One of the men who had been accused even won a civil judgement against her. Did Sharpton apologize? Are you kidding? Not a word out of him.
Then another glowing event in Sharpton's resume is when Al lead a protest against the owner of Freddie's Fashion Mart. What happened was that in 1995 a black church in Harlem that owned the rental property asked Fred Harari a Jewish tenant who operated Freddie's was asked to evict his subtenant which was a black owned record store. Sharpton's exact quote at the protest was, "We will not stand by and allow them to move this brother so that some white interloper can expand his business." Which wasn't what was happening at all. The store was burned to the ground and several customers were shot.
The CRS continued listing expenditures related to the anti-Zimmerman protests between April 11 and April 12, CRS spent $552.35 “to provide technical assistance for the preparation of possible marches and rallies related to the fatal shooting of a 17 year old African American male.”CRS was created in the Civil Rights Act of 1964. According to the CRS web page, “The Community Relations Service is the Department’s ‘peacemaker’ for community conflicts and tensions arising from differences of race, color, and national origin. Created by the Civil Rights Act of 1964, CRS is the only Federal agency dedicated to assist State and local units of government, private and public organizations, and community groups with preventing and resolving racial and ethnic tensions, incidents, and civil disorders, and in restoring racial stability and harmony.”
