Accident- and motorist assistance-related calls to the Wentzville Police Department on Feb. 21.
The Wentzville Police Department received 55 calls for motorist assistance and accidents on Feb. 21, when a winter storm dropped 5 1/2 inches of snow and sleet on the area. The calls broke down this way: Patch provides police call maps as a way for readers to be more aware of the nature and number of calls for police assistance received by the Wentzville Police Department. Donna J. Hess, 55, of Wentzville, sustained minor injuries in the crash.
A three-car accident on Hwy. N sent one driver to hospital last weekend, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported. Andrew J. Smith, 19, of O'Fallon was eastbound on Hwy. N just after 6 p.m. on January 19 when he stopped to make a left turn onto Glen Brook Manor Drive. Behind him, Ian B. Nelson, 16, of Lake Saint Louis, did not see Smith's Suburban stopped for the turn, and switched lanes suddenly. Nelson's Subaru Legacy then struck a Pontiac Grand Am driven by Donna J. Hess, 55, of Wentzville. The force of the impact caused Hess' car to strike Smith's. Hess sustained minor injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur. All the drivers involved were wearing safety belts.

Ivan Mickens, 42, of Wentzville, was injured in a two-car crash Tuesday when he stopped on East Terra Lane just east of T.R. Hughes to make a left turn. Robert J. Deterding, 62, of St. Peters, who was driving a 2001 Dodge Ram, struck the rear of Mickens' 2004 Kia Optima. The accident occurred just after 3:30 p.m., the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported. The impact of the crash totaled out Micken's car and sent him to seek medical attention. St. Charles County Ambulance took Mickens to St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles. The crash report lists his injuries as minor. Deterding was unharmed despite sustaining extensive damage to his vehicle. Both drivers were wearing safety devices in the crash.

The accident occurred on westbound Interstate 70 during rush-hour traffic Friday.
Three drivers from Wentzville, Lake Saint Louis and O'Fallon were involved in a three-car chain-reaction accident Friday on Interstate 70. Linda E. Parr, 45, of Lake Saint Louis, was stopped for traffic in her 2001 GMC Yukon at 4:25 p.m. Friday. Behind her, a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Tamala D. Tramble, 43, of Wentzville slowed for the congestion. A 2002 Ford F150 pickup driving by Rob B. Chatman, 21, of O'Fallon, was following too closely behind Tramble, reported the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Chatman's truck struck the rear of Tramble's Pontiac, which in turn struck the back of Parr's vehicle. Tramble received minor injuries in the crash and was taken by ambulance to SSM St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles. She was …

The cause of the single-vehicle accident is unknown.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported that Darrell L. Weeks, 48, of Lake Saint Louis was killed Friday night in a motorcycle accident in Wentzville. Weeks was on Wentzville Parkway at 8:18 p.m. when his motorcycle crashed near Leutkenhaus Boulevard. Weeks was ejected from the seat. The cause of the accident is unknown.

Doris A. Norman of Wentzville and Larkin C. Bennet of Old Monroe were the drivers of the two vehicles in Saturday's crash on Hwy. 79.
Doris A. Norman, 76, of Wentzville, was southbound on Hwy. 79 at T.R. Hughes Boulevard Saturday afternoon when she failed to yield to another vehicle. The front of Norman's 2012 Mazda 3 struck the rear of a 2012 Ford Escape driven by Larkin C. Bennet, 55, of Old Monroe. Bennet sustained minor injuries in the accident and was transported by ambulance to SSM St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake Saint Louis, the Missouri Highway Patrol reported. Bennet was wearing a safety belt. Norman, who was also wearing a safety belt, was not injured.

The accident occurred on the Bryan Road overpass on Aug. 30.
Samantha A. Chandler, 17, of Wentzville was northbound on Bryan Road Thursday just after 6 p.m. when she attempted to turn onto the westbound I-70 entrance ramp. Chandler failed to yield to a vehicle being driven by Taylor A Ochs, 19, of Defiance. The front of Ochs' 2001 Mitsubishi Galant stuck the side of Chandler's 1997 Toyota Avalon. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Ochs received minor injuries in the accident and was transported by ambulance to SSM St. Joseph Hospital West. He was wearing a safety belt. Chandler was not injured. Chandler's car was totaled, while Ochs' was extensively damaged.

Sherry Breakfield of Wentzville was stuck by an unknown vehicle.
Sherry R. Breakfield, 36, was eastbound on I-70 west of Hwy. 61 on Wed., Aug. 29 when the the 1995 Plymouth Neon she was driving was stuck by an unknown vehicle at 1:41 p.m. Breakfield struck a 1998 Kenworth tractor driven by William T. Reynolds, 41, of Fredericktown, MO. Breakfield then struck the median wall. Breakfield received moderate injuries in the accident. A passenger in her car, Adam W. Miller, 37, of Foley, was seriously injured. Both were transported by ambulance to Mercy-Creve Coeur. Reynolds was not injured, and there was minor damage to the Kenworth. Breakfield's Neon was totaled. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that both drivers and the passenger were wearing safety belts.
