Lake Saint Louis Man Injured in Crawford County Can-Am Crash

Jason J. McCallister, 38, was a passenger on the vehicle when the driver lost control on a turn.

Adam J. McCallister, 37, of Lake Saint Louis was injured Saturday in an accident involving a 2012 Can-Am Universal Terrain Vehicle. McCallister was a passenger on the vehicle, which was being driven by Jason J. McCallister, 38, of Cuba. Jason J. McCallister was seriously injured in the accident. The Can-Am was on private property on High Point Road in Crawford County when the driver lost control on a turn at 9:58 p.m. Another passenger, Joshua G. McCallister, 31, of Cuba, received moderate injuries. Adam and Joshua McCallister were transported by ambulance to Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan. Distracted by Cell Phone, Woman Crashes into Parked Tractor Trailer

The accident occurred on June 9 on an I-64 entrance ramp.

Brianna N. Rogers-Brooks, 28, of Lake Saint Louis was westbound on the ramp from Route N to westbound Interstate 64 at 6:20 p.m. Saturday night, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported. Distracted by her cell phone, Rogers-Brooks' drove her Nissan Maxima off the right side of the roadway and struck a Freightliner tractor trailer that had been parked on the shoulder while the driver was attempting to make repairs. Rogers-Brooks, who was not wearing a safety belt, received minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to SSM St. Joseph Hospital West. Rogers-Brooks' Nissan was totaled.

Wentzville Teen Seriously Injured in Hwy. 61 Crash

Sydney M. Lance was trying to turn onto Hwy. 61 from Hwy. P.

Sydney M. Lance, 16, of Wentzville was seriously injured in an automobile accident Monday afternoon at the intersection of Highway P and Highway 61. Lance's Honda was stopped for a stop sign but failed to yield to traffic, and was struck by a tractor trailer driven by  Michael D. Bobeen, 46, of Troy. Lance then turned southbound on Hwy. 61 in the acceleration lane and attempted to change lanes to the right. She then struck a GMC Sierra driven by Darren E. Smith, 53, of Foristell, who was also traveling southbound. Lance's Honda then traveled off the left side of the roadway, crossed the center median and entered the northbound lanes of Hwy. 61, where she struck a Ford Van being driven by Matthew W. Wentzville Woman Injured in Collision with Detached Trailer

Kyrie J. Luter was driving eastbound on Interstate 70 when she swerved to avoid a utility trailer in the roadway.

Kyrie L. Luter, 18, of Wentzville, received minor injuried in a crash Sunday when she swerved to avoid a utility trailer that had become detached. Luter was eastbound on I-70 around 9:20 a.m. when she tried to avoid the detached trailer just east of Highway 79. Luter's car, a 2006 Pontiac, struck the trailer and went off the left side of the road. Set in motion by the force of the impact, the trailer was then struck by a 2009 Yamaha motorcycle driven by David M. Shollar, 51, of St. Charles. Luter received minor injuries in the crash and was transported by ambulance to St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles. Shollar was not injured in the collision.

Andy, that's scary! My parents were behind a trailer one time on 1-70 and a BBQ grill fell off it. With the traffic around them, they had no choice but to just run over it, and it really messed up their truck. Saturday's Storm Causes Unusual Car Crash

The storm that brought damaging winds and hail to the Wentzville/Lake Saint Louis area had some unexpected consequences.

Saturday's storm damaged trees, signs and utility poles. The accompanying hail broke siding and screens and shattered windshields. But the storms also caused a one-car accident on Interstate 70. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a 2011 Chevy Equinox driven by Patricia C. Kilroy-Govero, 56, of Wentzville, was traveling westbound on Interstate 70 east of Highway 61 at 5:30 p.m. The severe weather conditions caused the car's airbags to deploy. The report did not specify if it was the hail or another aspect of the weather that caused the deployment. Kilroy-Govero received minor injuries and was taken to SSM St. Joseph West Hospital in Lake Saint Louis. Patch talked to Dan Clancy of Dan's Foreign Auto Repair in Wentzville about …
