Holt Senior Athletes to Play College Football—Find Out Where

National Signing Day: Ezekiel Elliott Signs Letter Of Intent With Ohio State Buckeyes

February 6 is the first day high school seniors can confirm their college choices. The University of Missouri, Ohio State and Oklahoma State are among the NCAA schools looking to St. Louis for recruits.

College coaches are getting their money's worth out of fax machines today. This is the first day high school seniors playing Football, Baseball Field Hockey, Soccer, Track and Field, Cross Country, Men's Water Polo can submit a signed letter of intent to play at the college level. Ezekiel Elliott, the John Burroughs running back who gave a verbal pledge to the Ohio State Buckeyes last spring, confirmed that decision late Wednesday afternoon in an announcement that was also carried on live local television. Montee Ball Rushes for 100 Yards, Wisconsin Loses Rose Bowl to Stanford

Montee Ball, the Timberland High School graduate, played his final game in the NCAA, where he's scored the most rushing touchdowns in FBS history.

Montee Ball rushed for an even 100 yards and scored a touchdown, but it wasn't enough to overcome Stanford as the Wisconsin Badgers lost 20-14 in the Rose Bowl on Tuesday.  Ball, the Timberland High School graduate, played his final game in the NCAA, where he's scored the most rushing touchdowns in FBS history. Ball scored early in the second quarter on an 11-yard run that cut Stanford's lead in half.  Ball's 100 yards led all rushers in the game.  This season, Ball became the NCAA's career touchdown leader—with 82—during a game at Penn State on Nov. 24. Ball must now wait for the NFL Draft, where he's among the most coveted runners in the draft. Last season, Ball was projected to be a late-first round pick. This year, according to …

Wentzville's Montee Ball Attacked, Hospitalized in Madison, WI

Timberland High School graduate spent a few hours in the hospital before being released.

Montee Ball, perhaps the most prolific football player to ever come out of the Wentzville School District, was attacked early Wednesday morning by a group of five men in what police are calling an "unprovoked assault", ESPN reports. Ball, who graduated from Timberland High School and was a runner up for last season's Heisman Trophy, suffered head injuries from the attack but was released from a nearby hospital after a two-hour stay. From ESPN: Witnesses told police the men knocked Ball to the ground and began kicking him. Ball, a 2011 Heisman Trophy finalist, was taken to a hospital and released later Wednesday morning.
