Daniel Boone Bridge Reopens Early
Westbound lanes opened Sunday night.
Traffic is flowing freely into Wentzville this morning. The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) reopened the westbound lanes of Highway 40 at the Missouri River (Daniel Boone Bridge) Sunday, hours ahead of schedule. The bridge was scheduled to reopen early Monday morning. Crews closed westbound Route 40/61 at Long Road in Chesterfield and all access to St. Charles County from Highway 40/61, at 8 p.m. Friday. During the closure, crews were working to reset bearings on the bridge. Access to St. Charles County using I-70, Route 364 and Route 370 remained open during the closure.
