The City of Wentzville issued an announcement today that the board of aldermen would hold a closed meeting tomorrow, April 20, at 4 p.m. to interview more candidates for the position of City Administrator. The city has been without a city administrator since Dianna Wright abruptly left in late August. City officials cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for Wright's resignation. She had served in the position since June 2008. Lambi's legal fees to date are $6,671.25.
Mayor Paul Lambi has asked that an agenda item be added to tonight's Board of Aldermen meeting concerning his legal fees in a city investigation into a $15,000 check that may have constituted a conflict of interest. Lambi is requesting $6,671.25 in reimbursement. In a March 30 memo to Interim City Administrator Dennis Walsh, Lambi said that the city has already paid $41,448.71 to special council Tom Lorain. "Do you really want to send the message to City Department Heads and employees that they can use the city treasury to neutralize the Mayor if they curry enough favor of the board by simply making allegations," Lambi wrote. On March 16, Wentzville Patch posted a story about Alderman Nick Guccione's allegations that the investigation was …

Search is now on for a replacement for Dianna Wright.
The Wentzville Board of Aldermen held a special meeting on Monday to discuss continuity of day-to-day city management and the search for a new city administrator as a result of the sudden departure last Thursday of Dianna Wright as city administrator. City officials cite "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for Wright’s departure. Wright had served as Wentzville’s city administrator since June 2008. At Monday's meeting the board directed the city’s attorney, Paul Rost, to complete implementation of the final severance provision in Wright’s contract as city administrator. The board will begin conducting a search for Wright’s replacement immediately. Until a replacement for Wright is found, Wentzville’s Director of Finance and …
