New Fairfield Inn & Suites Rising in Wentzville

Fairfield Inn & Suites, a new hotel in Wentzville located behind Bob Evans Restaurant, will have 90 guest rooms and is slated to open as soon as October.

Construction on Wentzville's new upscale, four-story hotel is moving along, creating a new skyline in the West Pearce/Wentzville Boulevard business district. Three floors have already been framed in, with work starting on the fourth. Fairfield Inn & Suites, a Marriott International company, broke ground in December last year. The hotel is being managed by Midas Hospitality, LLC. The hotel will have 90 guest rooms, an indoor swimming pool, guest laundry and a meeting space for approximately 50 people. Midas is planning for an October opening, and could be hiring for the location as early as August. READ MORE:

Wentzville's New Fairfield Inn & Suites Projects October 2013 Opening

Wentzville's newest hotel may begin hiring in August.

Ground was broken in December 2012 for Wentzville's new 90-room hotel, the Fairfield Inn & Suites. Midas Hospitality, LLC, is the owner and manager of the hotel. Executive Vice President Rob Willard told Patch that the four-story hotel will have an indoor swimming pool, guest laundry and a meeting space for approximately 50 people. The new hotel will have a sharp, contemporary look with outside surfaces of block and steel. "I am very excited to be part of the group who is bringing this quality lodging project to the City of Wentzville. It will be a great addition to an already well developed area of Wentzville, at the intersection of Wentzville Parkway and the I-70 corridor," Willard said. Wentzville New Construction Update: Panda Express, Ross Dress For Less, Fairfield Inn

New business construction is booming in Wentzville.

Construction workers have been taking advantage of our recent mild fall weather in Wentzville, and new business projects are in all stages of development—from recent groundbreaking to near completion. Panda Express, just to the south of Applebee's on Wentzville Parkway, hopes to open before Christmas, Drew Bextermueller of THF Realty told Patch. The restaurant may possibly open as soon as the week of Dec. 17. Aldermen to discuss red light cameras, Ranken Tech

Board also will review GM, Fairfield Inn site plans and release executive session minutes from three closed meetings.

Wentzville’s photo red light enforcement system will be under scrutiny Wednesday evening, as the Board of Aldermen examine staff reports on the topic. The aldermen face a decision on whether to renew its contract with Redflex, the company that operates the system. The Board of Aldermen meeting is at 6:30 p.m. at Wentzville City Hall. The meeting promises to be eventful, as the agenda includes the following: The city’s contract with Redflex Traffic Systems, which operates the system, expires Sept. 30, 2013. According to one staff report, under the system, the city averages 90 tickets per month at $100 per ticket. Redflex receives $48.50 per ticket. In 2011, the total revenue was $121,272 and Redflex received $57,230, while the municipal …
