Meet Bailey at Five Acres Animal Shelter.
Bailey is a 9 year old Beagle looking for a home. Bailey has a lot of spunk on walks and puts her Beagle nose to use sniffing everything. In addition to enjoying walks, she also likes car rides and relaxing on the couch with you. Bailey is potty trained and good with other dogs and cats. She is a senior girl with arthritis and prefers a home without young children. Bailey is a great companion and just loves everyone here at Five Acres! Dollar is available at Five Acres Animal Shelter.
Dollar is a three-year-old pit bull mix. He’s a perfect medium size and is potty trained. He is so well behaved, he gets to stay in one of the offices at the shelter. He loves napping on his bed, running in a fenced in yard and most of all he loves kids. Dollar is great with kids of all ages and would make a great companion. He prefers to be the only pet. Willow is a 10-month-old, female, dilute tortishell. She has a beautiful coat that is velvety soft to the touch. She is playful and independent in nature but likes to be petted. Willow enjoys playing in cat tunnels with toy mice and balls in the kitten room. She would do best in a home with kids over age 12. Tiger is a 2-year-old boxer mix that is looking for a home. She likes other dogs, is potty trained, friendly and loves to play. Bailey enjoys napping.
This is Bailey the Beagle. She’s 9 years old and her Christmas wish is for a home. Bailey is calm and enjoys napping on a soft bed and going for short walks. She’s a senior and takes daily medication. Therefore, she’s a special needs adoption (her adoption fee is $95). Phoenix was found with chemical burns on his back and has now been diagnosed with progressive retinal degeneration.
Phoenix a 9-month-old American Bulldog mix. WhenFive Acres rescued him he had been abused and had chemical burns on his back. Not only was he recovering from chemical burns but he also had mange. He received treatment for the mange and the area on his back that was burned now has hair. Phoenix recovered well and, despite a rough start, loves people! We recently noticed Phoenix’s eyes looked strange and he seemed confused and unable to focus. Our veterinarian diagnosed him with Progressive Retinal Degeneration- Phoenix is going blind. He already has some cataracts in his eyes. It is congenital and there is no medication or surgery that can fix it. This has not stopped Phoenix from being an energetic puppy! He will be a special needs …

Ozzie is available from Five Acres Animal Shelter.
In honor of Red October, this week’s pet of the week is Ozzie. He is an 8-year-old sweet-natured cat. He enjoys playing or napping on top of things such as scratching posts and card board boxes. He also has a favorite toy, a bird on a string. He enjoys jumping and trying to catch it as it flies through the air, using his defensive talents (much like the baseball player he is named after).
