St. Louis County Police said the gun had been stolen hours earlier in a burglary.
A Foristell man faces stealing charges after throwing a handgun out a car window Feb. 1 as St. Louis County Police pulled the car over. Daniel A. Jones, 30, of the 100 block of Intrepid Avenue in Foristell, was charged Feb. 2 with receiving stolen property. St. Louis County Police said they were pulling a car over Feb. 1 when Jones, a passenger in the car, threw a revolver out of the window on Interstate 55 near Bayless Avenue in South County. Police said the handgun had been stolen in a burglary hours earlier. Jones was being held Wednesday in St. Louis County jail. Bail was set at $35,000, cash only. A St. Charles County Sheriff's deputy said the woman confessed to two sexual acts with the underage teenager.
A 22-year-old woman faces criminal charges for having sex with a 15-year-old boy. Brittany B. Buchanan, 22, was charged Tuesday with one count of statutory rape and one count of statutory sodomy. St. Charles County Sheriff’s deputies said Buchanan confessed to two sexual acts with the 15-year-old in Nov. 18. Buchanan, who is from Arizona, was staying with a relative near Foristell in St. Charles County. Buchanan was being held in St. Charles County jail on Thursday. Bail was set at $35,000. Police said man stole a 1999 Ford F-350 from a Wentzville business and was caught with the truck in Foristell. David Dunker, 54, of the 21100 block of South Stracks Road in Wright City, was charged Thursday with tampering with a vehicle and driving while intoxicated. Wentzville Police said Dunker took the vehicle owned by Joerling Brothers Trucking from private property in the 2500 block of West Pearce Blvd., at about 9:45 a.m. Wednesday without the owner’s permission. Foristell Police spotted the vehicle parked with the engine running on the Mr. Fuel parking lot near Hwy. W and Interstate 70. Foristell Police reported that when Dunker was arrested, he had a moderate smell of alcohol, could not keep his balance and needed assistance with …

Cause of the fire is still under investigation.
A teenage girl was found dead in her bed by New Melle firefighters battling a blaze that destoyed a home on the 1500 block of Meinershagen Road Saturday afternoon. The girl is being identified by Fox 2 News as 19-year-old Moria Ryan, who was adopted by her family at 6 weeks old after being the victim of severe child abuse as an infant. The fire started shortly after noon, according to KSDK. The home is located about seven miles southwest of Wentzville. Four more people were in the home at the time of the fire, KSDK reported, and escaped without serious injury. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. For more on this story, CLICK HERE.

Accident happened early Wednesday.
A 10-year-old from Foristell was injured Wednesday morning in a one-vehicle accident on Route N east of Fowler Lane. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident took place at 8:05 a.m. A 2008 Buick Enclave driven by Yuka N. Yates, 38, Foristell, traveled off the right side of the road, struck a driveway and overturned. Yates passenger, Brandon T. Yates, 10, sustained minor injuries. He was taken to St. Joseph Health Center in Lake Saint Louis by St. Charles EMS. Both people involved were wearing seat belts, according to the report.

Work will impact traffic at truck stops in Foristell.
The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will close portions of Route W near Foristell in St. Charles County on several upcoming weekends for pavement repair and resurfacing. Work is weather permitting - in case of rain, the closure will take place the following day. Current closures are:
