Vote for the fan's choice for the top boys soccer player in the GAC.
The 2012 boys soccer season is in the books for all the Gateway Athletic Conference teams, but it's time to take a look back. Yes, it's time for another edition of the St. Charles County Athlete of the Week fan poll. Except this week has a twist. Instead of looking at the last week, we're looking at the entire season. Tell us in the poll below: Who was the top GAC boys soccer player in 2012? Jordan Stephens—Francis Howell: Francis Howell's Jordan Stephens was the top point getter in all of the GAC. Stephens was led the GAC South, all of the GAC with his 67 points. The majority of his points came from his 26 goals—best in the GAC. He also chipped in 15 assists for the Vikings. Andrew Deppe—St. Charles High School: When it came to scoring …

After a rebuilding 2010, the Timberland Wolves are stocked with upperclassmen and a returning aerial attack.
Last year wasn’t the first time Timberland suffered through growing pains. Two seasons ago, the Wolves played well in the Gateway Athletic Conference North, storming to a 9-2 record and an appearance in the Class 5 state playoffs. Despite an early district death, the Indians put 2011 into the book after big inning in April.
After any season-ending loss, it may seem like standard coach-speak to quip “remember the good games.” But for the Holt Indians’ 2011 season, the state of Missouri will do just that. Humiliated by a 12-run beat down by Fort Zumwalt East in mid-March, Holt just wanted a piece of its pride back when the two squads got together for a rematch in April. Instead, the Indians served up a dish of revenge that will find its way into the Missouri State record book. Highlighted by a 15-run second inning, the Indians put together a stats-packed game that ranked in several team single-game records, as well as setting a new mark with 14 hits in one inning. The previous record of 13 had held since 1999 and been tied twice since then. “(Zumwalt East) had …
