Readers: Upload Photos from Your Club's Special Event

There are groups and clubs all over the Wentzville/Lake Saint Louis area who are giving back to the community, helping their neighbors and raising awareness of issues. Let us showcase your club and the work you do!

Patch readers ALWAYS are welcome to submit photos or videos of interesting community people, places and happenings. However, we're pleased to introduce a formal spot on this news site to do just that: Your Neighborhood Gallery. Please load your photos and/or videos for others to enjoy. Perhaps it's a favorite sunset, building, sports team, community event, meeting or view from your home or vehicle. Whatever you believe represents some component of Wentzville or Lake Saint Louis, you can add it here. Thanks!

Ski Club's Fourth of July Show Draws Cheering Crowd to Lake Saint Louis

What better place to be on a steamy Fourth of July than on the beach at Jefferson Point?

The Lake Saint Louis Water Ski Club held their annual Fourth of July Ski Show on Wednesday. A huge crowd watched from under a garden of pop-up tents as skiers from beginning knee-boarders to elegant swivel skiers to a signature three-tiered pyramid team performed in the waters off Jefferson Point. The Ski Club is associated with the Lake Saint Louis Community Association. The club fields a competitive ski team called the Arch Rivals.

We were totally disappointed in Wentzville's fireworks! After you get in the car, fight the traffic, find a place to park, drag out your lawn chairs and then sit and wait the 10 minute fireworks "show" was a big letdown! Next year we will find somewhere else to go.   more ›

Lake Saint Louis Police Crack Down on Illegal Fireworks

Lake Saint Louis Police will confiscate illegal fireworks as contraband.

(The following press released was issued by the Lake Saint Louis Police Department.) The Lake Saint Louis Police Department reminds residents that except for authorized professional pyrotechnics displays conducted under the supervision of the police and fire departments, fireworks are prohibited within the city limits.   Due to the heat and drought conditions the agency will be especially proactive in its response to violators. “It only takes one spark to start a fire,” said Chief Michael Force. “Playing with sparklers in the back yard may seem innocent enough, but it puts the community and its residents at risk. It’s our duty to enforce the ordinance and citizen cooperation is critical to ensure public safety.” Lake Saint Louis Police …
