Wentzville Board Plans Strategic Planning Session with New City Administrator

One of the topics to be discussed will be transportation infrastructure such as roads, bike paths, trails and sidewalks.

The Wentzville Board of Aldermen has set the dates for a strategic planning session with the city's new Administrator, Michael McDowell. READ MORE: Wentzville Hires New City Administrator Current plans are for the planning session to be held on Friday evening, March 22, and Saturday, March 23. The board and city staff are researching locations for the planning session. The Progress Park banquet hall, Pitman reception center and the Green Lantern center are three possible sites being considered. Tentative plans are for the Friday session to start at 4 p.m. with remarks from the new city administrator, Michael McDowell. Wentzville Board Approves First Reading of Contract for New Administrator

McDowell is currently serving as City Manager for Olivette.

On Wednesday evening, the Wentzville Board of Aldermen approved the first reading of a bill approving a contract for the employment of a new city administrator, Michael McDowell. McDowell is currently serving as the city manager of Olivette. McDowell was in the audience at the meeting and stayed for almost an hour until a problem with microphones forced Mayor Nick Guccione to call for a break. He is required to take up residence in Wentzville within six months and the city will pay up to $3,000 in relocation expenses, with provisions for him to reimburse the city if he is terminated within the first year.
