Wentzville Man Unharmed After Early-Morning Crash

Two cars collided early Friday morning in St. Charles County.

A Festus man was injured after colliding with a Wentzville man early Friday morning. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Kevin Skiles, 54, of Festus, was attempting to make a left turn onto a private drive from Highway A just 1.1 miles north of Interstate 70 in St. Charles County. The second car, a 2008 Cadillac CTS, driven by 59-year-old Wentzville resident Alan Dyer, made a left turn from the private drive onto Highway A and the two vehicles collided. The crash took place at about 3:40 a.m. on Friday and both drivers were wearing safety devices.  Dyer was unharmed in the crash and was able to drive his vehicle from the scene. Skiles was taken to St. Joseph's in Lake Saint Louis with moderate injuries.

Wentzville Man Killed in One-Car Crash on Hwy. N

Robert Taylor, 23, of Wentzville was pronounced dead on the scene at about 11:30 Wednesday night.

A Wentzville man was killed on Hwy. N late Wednesday night when his car ran off the road and hit a tree, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported. Robert D. Taylor, 23, was driving a 1999 Hyundai Sonata eastbound on Hwy. N just west of South Point Prairie Road. His car left the roadway when he was unable to negotiate a curve and he overcorrected, going into the westbound lanes and off the road. The car hit a tree and overturned. Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a safety belt.

Six Year-Old from Wentzville Among Injured in I-64 Crash

The driver lost control and hit a sign and a tree late Saturday.

A one-car crash on Interstate 64 Saturday night injured the driver and three occupants of the car, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported. A 2009 Nissan Armada driven by Johnson Do, 38, of Wentzville, was eastbound on I-64 west of Research Park. At 10:18 p.m., the driver lost control of the SUV and ran off the right side of the roadway. The car then struck a speed limit sign and a tree. Do and a passenger, Ahn H. Phan, 28, suffered moderate injuries in the crash. Two other occupants, Cici Doan, 33, of Wentzville, and Travis Doan, 6, also of Wentzville, received minor injuries. All of the car's occupants were transported to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur. Wentzville Man Injured After Car Strikes Tree

William C. Towle, 20, of Wentzville suffered minor injuries after losing control of his car on Sunday.

A Wentzville man was injured after his car struck a tree on Sunday night in St. Charles County. William C. Towle, 20, of Wentzville, was heading west on Route N at 9:45 p.m. on Sunday night just west of Perry Cate. According the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Towle was traveling too fast for a curve in the road. Towle lost control of his 2005 Honda Accord and exited the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.  Towle was taken to Mercy Creve Coeur by St. Charles County Ambulance with minor injuries. He was wearing a safety device in the crash. His car sustained extensive damage in the crash.

Wentzville Woman Dies at Hospital After Motorcycle Crash

Jessenia Tirado Rosario, 34, of Wentzville, was a passenger on the motorcycle.

One of the victims of Sunday's motorcycle accident on Highway 94 has died as a result of her injuries, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported. Jessenia Tirado Rosario, 34, of Wentzville, died at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday at Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur. Rosario was a passenger on a Yamaha motorcycle driven by Samuel Hernandez Santana, 32, of Wentzville, on Highway 94 when Santana lost control. The motorcycle crossed the center line and struck a 2011 Dodge Ram driven by Brian D. Peyton, 23 of Ellisville in a westbound lane. Peyton was not injured in the crash. Santana was listed in serious condition.

Two Seriously Injured in Head-On Motorcycle vs. Truck Accident

Sunday's crossover accident injured Samuel Hernandez Santana, 32, and Jessenia Tirado Rosario, 34, of Wentzville.

A crossover accident on Highway 94 seriously injured two Wentville residents on Sunday evening, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported. A Yamaha motorcycle driven by Samuel Hernandez Santana, 32, of Wentzville, was eastbound on Highway 94 five miles west of Route D, when Santana lost control. The motorcycle crossed the center line and struck a 2011 Dodge Ram driven by Brian D. Peyton, 23 of Ellisville in a westbound lane. Both Santana and a passenger, Jessenia Tirado Rosario, 34, also of Wentzville, were ejected from the motorcycle and seriously injured. Both were taken to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur. Peyton was not injured in the crash. Both Santana and Rosario were wearing safety devices.

Wentzville School Buses Nearly Perfect After More Than a Million Miles

The Wentzville School District was awarded the Exemplary School Bus Mainenance Award from the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The award recognizes the fleet's 95.6 approval rate.

The Wentzville School District bus fleet passed inspection with flying colors again this year. The district issued a press release reporting spring bus inspections conducted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol are complete, and the district qualified for an Exemplary School Bus Maintenance award. The award, given by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, recognizes the bus fleet's 95.6 percent approval rate for first inspections. The state average score for first inspections runs about 85 percent, the district reported. Only six of the district's buses had minor issues, and those issues were quickly repaired and re-inspected. No buses were taken out of service. The quick repairs meant 100 percent of the buses …

Wright City Man Injured in Wentzville After SUV Overturns

The driver sustained serious injuries after flipping his vehicle on Interstate 70 in Wentzville.

A Wright City man was seriously injured in a one-car crash in Wentzville on Sunday morning.  The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Derek A. Neth, 31, of Wright City, was heading eastbound on Interstate 70 west of Wentzville Parkway at 10:20 a.m. on Sunday, April 7. According to the Highway Patrol Neth lost control of his 2002 Ford Explorer and the vehicle travelled off the left side of the road. Neth then over-corrected and the vehicle overturned. Neth was then ejected from the vehicle. Neth, who the crash report said wasn't wearing a safety device, was transported to Mercy Hospital in Creve Couer by St. Charles County Ambulance. His injuries were considered serious by the Highway Patrol.

Wentzville Truck Driver Involved in I-270 Crash

Daniel P. Vitale was not injured in Tuesday evening's accident.

Daniel P. Vitale, 58, of Wentzville, was driving his 2006 International northbound on Interstate 270 when he was struck by another driver. Travis Guariglia, a 35-year-old Ballwin resident, failed to see the truck and hit it with his car, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The accident happened north of Olive Boulevard at 6:50 p.m. Guariglia was taken to Mercy Hospital by a Creve Coeur Fire Protection emergency crew for minor injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt. Vitale was wearing a seat belt, and did not sustain injuries, according to the report. Guarigilia's 2013 Chevrolet Impala was totaled and towed from the scene. Wentzville Woman Killed In Head-On Crash

Lauren R. Hollingsworth-Smith, 29, of Wentzville, was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:23 p.m. on March 9 following a two-vehicle crash on Highway N.

A Wentzville woman was killed in a head-on crash Saturday night in St. Charles County.  Lauren R. Hollingsworth-Smith, 29, of Wentzville, was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:23 p.m. on March 9 following a two-vehicle crash on Highway N. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Hollingsworth-Smith's 2011 Chevrolet Equinox traveled across the center line and struck a second vehicle head on. Hollingsworth-Smith collided with Randal L. Phillips, 38, of Lake Saint Louis. Both vehicles were totaled in the crash. Phillips was taken to St. Joseph Hospital West with minor injuries.  Neither driver was wearing a safety device in the crash.
