A Wentzville woman was injured on Feb. 13 in a crash in St. Charles County. Tasha N. Reading, 25, was taken by St. Charles County Ambulance to St. Joseph Health Center following a crash at 6:55 a.m. on Route A and Intersate 70 last week. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, O'Fallon resident Alvin E. Hunsel, 66, was stopped at the exit ramp stop sign. Reading was southbound on Route A and Hunsel failed to yield to her. Hunsel pulled into the path of Reading. Reading's vehicle, which was totaled in the crash, struck Hunsel's front end. Reading then traveled off the left side of the road and struck a bridge pier. Reading's injuries were classified as moderate.

The boy was riding an ATV on private property when the throttle on the ATV he was riding became struck and the boy lost control of the vehicle.
A 6-year-old boy from Wentzville was seriously injured Saturday in an ATV accident. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the boy was driving the ATV on private property near River Oaks Lane in Crawford County. The throttle on the ATV the boy was riding on became stuck and he lost control before being tossed from the vehicle. He was later air-lifted to Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in St. Louis. The highway patrol website says the boy was not wearing a safety device, although it was unclear if that meant he was not wearing a helmet.

A Wentzville woman sustained moderate injuries after a crash last week in St. Charles County.
A Wentzville woman was taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle collision in St. Charles County last week. Kristine E. Rodgers, 47, was taken by St. Charles County Ambulance to St. Joseph Hospital West following a crash just after 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 7. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Rodgers was listed in moderate condition after a two-vehicle crash. According to the crash report, Rodgers was heading westbound on Route N at the same time Aaron A Beckmann, 16, of Lake Saint Louis, was heading eastbound. As Beckmann was approaching two vehicles yielding to turn on Duello Road, he was unable to stop. The passenger side of Beckmann's 1997 Chevrolet Silverado struck the front of Rodgers' 2008 Saturn Aura. …

A Wentzville woman was taken to St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles following a crash on Interstate 70 on Wednesday morning. Lorretta L Driver, 38, of Wentzville, was injured after a crash on eastbound I-70 west of Zumbehl Road just before 8 a.m. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Driver was slowing down for traffic ahead when a second car, a 2005 Toyota Matrix driven by Thomas A. Robbins, 25, of Foristell, was following too closely. The front of Robbins' car hit the rear of Driver's. Driver's 2008 Jeep Commander sustained minor damage in the crash and she was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Robbins was unharmed in the crash but his car was totaled. Both drivers were wearing safety devices in the crash.

Donna J. Hess, 55, of Wentzville, sustained minor injuries in the crash.
A three-car accident on Hwy. N sent one driver to hospital last weekend, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported. Andrew J. Smith, 19, of O'Fallon was eastbound on Hwy. N just after 6 p.m. on January 19 when he stopped to make a left turn onto Glen Brook Manor Drive. Behind him, Ian B. Nelson, 16, of Lake Saint Louis, did not see Smith's Suburban stopped for the turn, and switched lanes suddenly. Nelson's Subaru Legacy then struck a Pontiac Grand Am driven by Donna J. Hess, 55, of Wentzville. The force of the impact caused Hess' car to strike Smith's. Hess sustained minor injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur. All the drivers involved were wearing safety belts.

David Geisel and Diana Geisel sustained minor injuries in the accident.
David Geisel, 47, of Wentzville, was driving a 1989 Corvette northbound on Hwy. Z on January 19 when the vehicle was involved in an accident, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported. At 11:10 a.m., the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway south of Buckner Road and struck a fence. Geisel and his passenger Diana Geisel, 41, sustained minor injuries in the accident and were transported to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur. Both were wearing safety belts. The Corvette was totaled and towed from the scene.

Paige O. Wood, 22, of Wentzville, was injured Tuesday afternoon when the car she was riding in struck a backhoe, the Missouri Highway Patrol reported. Charles C. Watkins, 32, of Troy was driving the backhoe southbound on Route MM south of Route C in Lincoln County when he made a left turn into a parking lot around 3 p.m. A 2005 Dodge Ram driven by Benjamin C. Holbrook, 24, of Moscow Mills, in which Wood was a passenger, attempted to pass the backhoe on the left side. The pickup struck the backhoe on the left side and then traveled off the roadway. The accident on Route F in New Melle sent two men to the hospital.
A Moscow Mills man was seriously injured Wednesday morning when he was struck by a pickup truck, the Missouri Highway Patrol reported. Nicholas C. Taylor, 32, of Moscow Mills, was standing outside a 2010 Freightliner that was parked on Route F in New Melle at 9:43 on Jan. 8. Calvin D. Stacker, 64, of Defiance, was eastbound on Route F in a 2001 Dodge Ram pickup. Stacker failed to see the parked vehicle and struck Taylor. Taylor was seriously injured and was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur. Stacker suffered moderate injuries and was also taken to Mercy Hospital. He was not wearing a safety belt.

Joshua Frillman was charged with 1st degree robbery and 1st degree tampering with a motor vehicle, and is being held at the St. Charles County Adult Correctional Facility on a $50,000.00 dollar bond.
A homeless man who was staying in Wentzville has been arrested for robbing a Warrenton man who was trying to help him and then stealing a car in Wentzville, police say. The story began on Dec. 30 when Ervin Yoder, 53, of Warrenton, met Joshua Frillman, 25, at a business in Warrenton. Yoder told police that Frillman had an injured hand and Yoder offered to drive him to the hospital. After Frillman was treated at SSM St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake Saint Louis, Yoder drove him to Wentzville, bought him something to eat and then took him to an address in Wentzville where Frillman said he was staying. Two young children were taken to St. Joseph Medical Center in Creve Coeur after the car they were riding in crashed along Interstate 70 in Lake Saint Louis early Monday morning.
Two young children, one a 3-year-old toddler, were taken to the hospital with moderate injuries after the car they were riding in crashed on Interstate 70 at the Lake Saint Louis Boulevard exit. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Erin Windau, 30, of Troy, was driving her Dodge Caravan along I-70 at 4:11 a.m. Monday morning when she traveled off the right side of the road and struck the concrete bridge abutment. The two children, ages 3 and 10, sustained moderate injuries, the highway patrol reported. The younger child was taken to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur and the older chld was taken to SSM St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles. Windau, according to the highway patrol, did not sustain injuries.
