Wentzville-area pizza lovers will be thrilled to hear that Little Caesar's Pizza will be opening in Wentzville in the fall. A storefront in the strip mall behind Steak N Shake posted a "Little Caesar's coming soon" sign recently, and Wentzville Patch has confirmed with the City of Wentzville that the pizza restaurant will be opening some time after August. The chain is famous for its "hot-n-ready" pizzas, and also carries deep-dish pizza, hot wings and cheese bread. Little Caesar's began in Garden City, Michigan in 1959 when Mike and Marian Ilitch invested their life savings into a pizza business. The site plan for Huck's has been tabled for more than a month.
A site plan for a Huck's gas station that has been tabled for more than a month will be back up for consideration at Thursday's meeting of the Lake Saint Louis Planning and Zoning Commission. CVS Pharmacy plans to build a new Wentzville location at a recently-annexed site that is a piece of a larger unincorporated area within the city limits. But not all residents are happy to see the drug store set up shop. Find out why.
CVS Pharmacy broke ground this week on its new location in Wentzville. The parcel was subdivided from a larger piece of property that lies in unincorporated St. Charles County, although it is surrounded by the City of Wentzville. The property was formerly owned by the Brune family. CVS plans to pay for utilities to be brought across Wentzville Parkway from Pitman Funeral Home, and will dedicate 15 feet of right of way for the eventual widening and improvement of Wentzville Parkway. Car Credit City is the latest business to open in a newly-revitalized business district south of Interstate 70 in Wentzville. The auto sales lot opened in December 2012. The company promises no-haggle pricing and 15-minute credit approval with in-house financing. The Wentzville Car Credit City is the only St. Charles County location of the company. Over the last ten years, the area has seen an influx in new business including Suntrup Hyundai, IHOP, Rural King, Bandana's, Bill Thomas Camper Sales and the auto mall complex. The area will see more change in the future, with plans for Wentzville Parkway to be extended south to Wilmer Road and Interstate Drive. Firehouse Subs is coming to Wentzville, with an opening date projected for late summer. Brian Collins, owner of the O'Fallon Firehouse Subs store, confirmed to Patch that he would be opening another location in a building to be constructed on an outlot in the Kohl's shopping center on West Pearce Boulevard. Collins said he will be working with officials from the Wentzville Fire Protection District to decorate the store with photos and memorabilia just as the O'Fallon store now features the O'Fallon department. According to the Firehouse Subs website, the chain began 18 years ago now has more than 540 restaurants in 32 states and Puerto Rico. Wentzville's newest hotel may begin hiring in August.
Ground was broken in December 2012 for Wentzville's new 90-room hotel, the Fairfield Inn & Suites. Midas Hospitality, LLC, is the owner and manager of the hotel. Executive Vice President Rob Willard told Patch that the four-story hotel will have an indoor swimming pool, guest laundry and a meeting space for approximately 50 people. The new hotel will have a sharp, contemporary look with outside surfaces of block and steel. "I am very excited to be part of the group who is bringing this quality lodging project to the City of Wentzville. It will be a great addition to an already well developed area of Wentzville, at the intersection of Wentzville Parkway and the I-70 corridor," Willard said. The Wentzville Board of Aldermen recently approved zoning and site plans for two new indoor shooting ranges in the city limits.
New businesses are booming in Wentzville. Along with a hotel, a clothing store and a drive-through Chinese restaurant, two new indoor shooting ranges will make Wentzville their home.
