We'll give away a Patch cap and T-shirt to three people drawn at random from among the photos you submit.
Is there a bigger holiday in St. Louis than Opening Day? The perfectly green grass. The bright white uniforms. The possibilities... If there's a bigger day to celebrate, we don't know what it is. So we're hoping Patch readers will share their excitement about the home opener between the Cards and the Cubs on Friday by uploading their favorite photo from the afternoon. We've stirred the pot a little with a few photos from previous openers from Associate Regional Editor Brian Feldt. We hope you'll add a few more to the gallery. Just click the button that says "upload photos and videos" and follow the instructions. We'll send a Patch T-shirt and ballcap to three of you at random from among those who share a photo before the first pitch of …

Each week, we highlight a vacant commercial area and ask what you would like to see move into this area?
We want Wentzville Patch to be a place where you can not only find out what's going on around town, but a place where you can share your thoughts and ideas with neighbors. Our newest feature—Visions for Vacancies—aims to help residents take an active role in planning and building their community. Each week, we'll highlight a vacant commercial space and ask what you would like to see move into this area? If you know of an area you'd like to see highlighted, tell us in the comments. This week, we are taking a look at the former home of Office Depot, which is located right next to Michaels, and is used for a seasonal Halloween store. If it were up to you, what would you like to see there? What do you think would best serve the Wentzville …

Wentzville's new Sam's Club is on pace to open in October.
Just more than a month into the project and crews working on Wentzville's planned Sam's Club are already making significant progress to the much-hyped building thanks to a string of good weather. Crews have already erected two of the buildings walls and gas tanks for the Sam's Club's gas station were on-site and ready to be placed. The new Wentzville store, which will be located just west of Walmart, was first announced in February. A gas station on the Kohl's side of Bear Creek Drive will also feature 12 regular gasoline pumps and six diesel pumps, Tucker said. THF Realty successfully applied for a Community Improvement District (CID) to help finance the Sam’s Club and Sam’s Club gas station. An estimated $7 million would be collected by…

Each week, we nominate a new restaurant for you to review. That's right, you're the local expert.
When it comes to restaurants, Wentzville has it covered. We have some great local places that many would consider community gems; we have some restaurants that aren't exactly mom-and-pop but are unique to the area; and we certainly—for better or for worse—have plenty of chains lining our main streets. But what we don't have is a consistent food critic to tell us what's good and what's not. That's where you come in. We could throw some money at a professional food critic, but that's not exactly what Patch is all about. We'd much rather know the opinion of the fine folks that eat there day-in and day-out. It's your community. You eat the food. You tell us if it passes the mark. That's why we are introducing The Friday Food Critic column, …

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and Wentzville resident Chuck Berry is among 16 finalists vying for the title of best St. Louis musician of all time. St. Louis Magazine, a locally-owned publication with more than 200,000 readers, is holding its Best St. Louis Musician of All Time Bracket.
