Xena is a 5-year-old Border Collie mix. She’s potty trained and knows some basic obedience. Xena is well behaved and gets to spend her days at the shelter in one of the offices. Xena is playful and likes toys, running in the yard and going for walks. She’s good with kids and loves everyone she meets. Four-year-old orange cat is available for adoption.
Luigi is a 4-year-old handsome, light orange kitty. His previous family had to give him up when an ill family member had to move in that was highly allergic to cats. Luigi is very nice and easy going. He would love a quiet home and prefers to be the only pet. Meet Bailey at Five Acres Animal Shelter.
Bailey is a 9 year old Beagle looking for a home. Bailey has a lot of spunk on walks and puts her Beagle nose to use sniffing everything. In addition to enjoying walks, she also likes car rides and relaxing on the couch with you. Bailey is potty trained and good with other dogs and cats. Bailey enjoys napping.
This is Bailey the Beagle. She’s 9 years old and her Christmas wish is for a home. Bailey is calm and enjoys napping on a soft bed and going for short walks. She’s a senior and takes daily medication. Therefore, she’s a special needs adoption (her adoption fee is $95). Matty is a 7-month-old pit bull mix. He is very loving and enjoys people of all ages. Matty is gentle, walks well on a leash and wants to sit in your lap. He is good with other dogs, but still needs to work on his potty training. Matty qualifies for Five Acres’ Black Friday Promotion. All of our black dogs and cats will be half of their regular adoption fee during November 23-25th. Black dogs and cats typically take longer to find a home and we are hoping Matty and the other black dogs and cats find a home before the holidays! Phoenix was found with chemical burns on his back and has now been diagnosed with progressive retinal degeneration.
Phoenix a 9-month-old American Bulldog mix. WhenFive Acres rescued him he had been abused and had chemical burns on his back. Not only was he recovering from chemical burns but he also had mange. He received treatment for the mange and the area on his back that was burned now has hair. Phoenix recovered well and, despite a rough start, loves people! We recently noticed Phoenix’s eyes looked strange and he seemed confused and unable to focus. Our veterinarian diagnosed him with Progressive Retinal Degeneration- Phoenix is going blind. He already has some cataracts in his eyes. It is congenital and there is no medication or surgery that can fix it. This has not stopped Phoenix from being an energetic puppy! He will be a special needs …

Sara is an affectionate 7-year-old cat.
Sara is a sweet and affectionate 7-year-old cat. She would love a family to snuggle on the couch with. Sara has good manners and uses her litter box. Sara is stressed by the other cats at the shelter and often hides in the cat cubbies where people cannot see how loving she really is. Because of this, Sara is eligible for a foster to adopt option.
