Wentzville's Ball Ties Record in Rose Bowl

Timberland graduate tied Barry Sanders' season touchdown record.

It wasn't quite the ending that Wentzville native and Timberland High School graduate Montee Ball had planned, but he did hit a milestone Monday night. The University of Wisconsin junior running back tied Barry Sanders' NCAA record with his 39th touchdown of the season, according to the Huffington Post. But his Wisconsin Badgers lost 45-38 to Oregon in Monday's 98th Rose Bowl game. "We fell short once again," Ball said after the game. "But I believe it is going to make us stronger and we'll make sure to work hard so we can be back here next year. It stings a little. But we are going to approach it just like we did last year after the bowl loss. The only way we can go now is to move forward." USA Today's Campus Rivalry blog reported Tuesday…
