Holt High Junior Awarded Jack Buck Scholarship

Abigail Corbett will be attending Southeast Missouri State University

(The following press release was submitted by Wentzville School District.) Abigail Corbett, a junior at Holt High School, has been selected as a KMOX/Southeast Missouri State University Student of Achievement. The KMOX Student of Achievement program began 20 years ago when Hall of Fame broadcaster Jack Buck created the scholarship fund to recognize the positive accomplishments of area students. “It’s really exciting to be recognized for doing what I do, my parents always taught me to do as much as you can in the time you have. What little free time I do have I try to spend with my family,” said Corbett. “I’m going to the SEMO softball camp soon, so I’m really interested in seeing the campus, I would love to continue to play softball in …

Are You Smarter Than a Fifth-Grader?

Wentzville Chamber to host trivia challenge.

The Wentzville Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual scholarship trivia night on Friday, April 1, at Progress Park Center. The theme is “Are you Smarter than a 5th Grader?”  Registration begins at 6:30 p.m. and trivia begins at 7 p.m. The theme for the evening will be high school and college mascots, so get your favorite team gear out. The best decorated table will receive a special prize.  The evening will feature fun questions from a variety of categories. Cash prizes will be awarded. Mulligans may be purchased the night of the event. The event is $20 per person and the tables are eight people. The price includes trivia, water, soda, beer, wine and snacks.
