Her mother had been killed in a car wreck just months earlier. She was…

Todd Rehkop is suspected in a sexual assault in Columbia and other attempted assaults.
Todd Rehkop killed himself early this morning in Lafayette County after a brief standoff with police, KOMU.com said. Rehkop is a suspect in a sexual assault outside a Hy-Vee store in Columbia as well as another attempted assault in Columbia and one in Boonville yesterday evening. Captain Don Smith of the Boonville Police Department confirmed to Lake Saint Louis Patch that Rehkop's current address was on Morton Lane in Lake Saint Louis. "It's a sad thing. The man chose to take his life when all he needed was some help," Smith said. A search of Missouri Casenet shows a history of domestic issues between Rehkop and his wife. A dissolution case in March 2010 lists Rehkop's residence as located in Monroe City, MO.
