Good morning, Lake Saint Louis! So, the vote for St. Charles' best spaghetti is in, and Francesco's in St Peters won with 56 percent of the vote. I'll have to try it out—I've never heard of Francesco's, but I'm always willing to give new places a try. I have to admit that I'm disappointed that we didn't get any nominations for Donatelli's—Lake Saint Louis' hometown Italian restaurant. If you wondered why the police blotter didn't post at 6 a.m., here's the link to Wednesday's blotter. We're trying to adjust our posting date to a change made by the department of the day they release the data. Wentzville School District has announced their Teachers of the Year for each of the schools, and we posted the complete list earlier today. …

We have a winner! Francesco's in St. Peters captured the St. Charles County Patch Chowdown Showdown Spaghetti title hands down this week. Patch readers were passionate about their pasta. Here's a few of their comments: Francesco's Family Italian Restaurant ended up with 56 percent of the votes when the poll closed at 5 p.m. Thursday. For this week's St. Charles County Patch Chowdown Showdown, we asked readers where they find the best spaghetti in the county. We got a lot of feedback — thanks to everyone who submitted their votes by commenting in our article. There were four restaurants that garnered votes — Rizzo's Pasta in O'Fallon; Francesco's Family Italian Restaurant in St. Peters; Mama's Grill in Wentzville; and Pio's in St. Charles. The weekly Chowdown Showdown is meant to be a way for readers to pick and vote on their favorite places to get certain entrees in St. Charles County.
