As the curtains opened on Saturday afternoon, actors stepped into the spotlight and limitations were forgotten. The diverse cast of 33 individuals with disabilities took the stage at Saturday St. Charles West High School for Community Living Inc.’s (CLI) production of Annie Jr. “The cool thing is, everyone gets a part,” said Jodi Darrohn, CLI’s Director of Adult Recreation Services. Darrohn said she always makes sure to purchase a large cast script so no one is turned away. The mission of CLI is to enrich the lives of people with disabilities in St. Charles County, through programs and services including employment, residential and adult recreational services. Volunteer for Rhythm and Ribs at SCC Rhythm & Ribs is a fun-filled evening of live music,mouth-watering food and dancing. The 4th annual event will be held on the St. Charles Community College campus in Cottleville on Friday May 10. Doors will open at 6 p.m. with the St. Charles West Jazz Ensemble and at 7 p.m., a new Rhythm Revue will feature SCC talent. Smash Band will return, live on the main stage at 8:30 p.m. Proceeds will support scholarships and academic enhancements at SCC.
