City to Scrutinize Renaissance Faire Financial Commitment

The Wentzville Board of Aldermen will look into the Renaissance Faire's contract now, and the County Fair's after it completes this year's event.

At last week's Board of Aldermen meeting, Ward 1 Alderman Forrest Gossett asked the board to look into the the city's financial commitment to the Renaissance Faire that is held yearly at the city's Rotary Park. Wrapping Up a Great St. Charles County Fair Week

Lake Saint Louis Patch takes a look back at the St. Charles County Fair.

Five days of fun, 4-H and Ferris wheels came to an end as the 2011 St. Charles County Fair ended Saturday night.  Excessive heat warnings were in effect each day of the fair, making for a hot and muggy fair. Mother Nature also threw a lightning strike in on Saturday to make for a really eventful fair.  The fair was held at Rotary Park in Wentzville. On Monday, Patch previewed the events of the 2011 fair, providing a schedule of the weeks events.  On Wednesday, we had a plethora of fair coverage. Thursday's photo gallery took a look at all the great homemade baked goods and crafts that were entered in the fair for judging. Contributor Rebecca Thiele also followed fair participants as they checked in their livestock.  Friday was another big …
