Wentzville Tattoo Shop Owner Sentenced to 20 Years on 23 Charges

The former Wentzville businessman installed a hidden camera in a unisex restroom at the shop, which led to a myriad of charges against the owner.

A former Wentzville tattoo shop owner was sentenced Monday to 20 years in prison. The man. Bruce Hymes, 42, of Wentzville, pleaded guilty Sept. 7 to 19 charges and no contest to four more charges. Circuit Court Judge Jon A. Cunningham sentenced Hymes Monday. Hymes first was arrested in August 2011 after an employee at Full Moon Studios, 1433 Wentzville Parkway, found a video camera hidden in an air duct in a restroom used by employees and customers. When the employee confronted Hymes, the tattoo parlor owner began pulling the camera and wires out of the duct. Wentzville Tattoo Shop Owner Pleads Guilty To Videotaping Women in Restroom

Hymes was the owner of Full Moon Studios.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported today that Wentzville tattoo shop owner Bruce A. Hymes has pleaded guilty to 17 felony counts. The charges against Hymes included weapons charges, assault, tampering with evidence and drug charges along with the invasion of privacy misdemeanor counts. Hymes was the owner of Full Moon Studios, located in a strip mall on Wentzville Parkway. Wentzville Patch first reported the invastion of privacy charges in August of 2011. Sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 5.
