Final Sentencing in Tee Kay Babysitters 'Horrific' Child Abuse Case

John Scott Thomas III received nine 30-year concurrent sentences, the longest of the three convicted child molesters.

The judge set the final sentence yesterday in a case that was described by law enforcement officials as "the most horrific" child abuse case they'd ever seen, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported. The sexual assaults took place at the Tee Kay Mobile Manor off I-64 in unincorporated St. Charles County in 2011. Three girls, ages 7 months, 3 years and 5 years old, were sexualy assaulted by three neighbors who were babysitting. Third Tee Kay Babysitter Pleads Guilty to Sodomy

St. Charles County investigators said the cases were among the worst child abuse crimes they had ever seen.

A third babysitter pleaded guilty to sodomizing children as young as seven months old in the Tee Kay Mobile Manor area. St. Charles County Sheriff’s investigators said the crimes were the worst cases of child sexual abuse they’d ever seen. John Scott Thomas III, 28, of the first block of Tee Kay in St. Charles County, pleaded guilty Tuesday to eight counts of first-degree statutory sodomy and one count of first-degree statutory rape. As part of the plea, St. Charles County prosecutors agreed to cap Thomas’ sentence at 30 years. The defense can request a suspended sentence or can argue for a lesser sentence.
