Man Charged With Series of Burglaries at Storage Facilities

David Kellerman is charged with breaking into storage areas and trailers kept at facilities in Wentzville and St. Charles.

A Maryland Heights man is accused of breaking into a series of storage areas and travel trailers at facilities in Wentzville and St. Charles. David Kellerman, 40, of the 2100 block of Butterfield Drive in Maryland Heights, was charged Wednesday with two counts of first-degree property damage in St. Charles. He was charged Friday with four counts of second-degree burglary, three counts of property damage, two counts of felony stealing (more than $500) and three counts of misdemeanor stealing in Wentzville. Maryland Heights Police arrested Kellerman Monday. Man Stuffed Trash Can Full of Items From Target Before Leaving Store

Wentzville Police said William Held paid for the trash can, but not the items he stashed inside, with a stolen credit card.

A Wright City man was charged with theft after police said he snuck items out in a trash can. William Held, 39, of the first block of Appaloosa Way in Wright City, was charged March 26 with felony theft. Wentzville Police said security tapes show Held filled a trash can inside a box with items from Target in Wentzville, 1883 Wentzville Parkway. He then paid only for the trashcan and left the store.  Held also used a credit card that was not his, police said. When they called the credit card’s owner, a woman told police Held had been staying with her disabled son and had been taking advantage of him, according to court documents. Man Stole Computer in Lake Saint Louis, Pawned It in Hazelwood

Police said Gary Dean Darby stole the computer from the Walmart in Lake Saint Louis.

A man was charged with stealing a computer from the Lake Saint Louis Walmart March 1 and pawning it in Hazelwood. Gary Dean Darby, 26, of the 9800 block of Rhythm Drive in Overland, was charged by the St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office March 11 with felony theft. Lake Saint Louis Police said Darby stole the computer with the security device still attached March 11 from the Walmart at 6100 Ronald Reagan Drive in Lake Saint Louis. Security videos show him stealing the computer, police reported. The computer was valued at $805. He then pawned the computer at a store in Hazelwood, police said. Man Stole Car Hours After Being Released By Wentzville Police

The man had been arrested earlier in the day for burglarizing an Amoco gas station, police said.

Just hours after he was released from police custody on a burglary charge, Wentzville Police arrested a Warrenton man Dec. 23 for stealing a car. Lucas R. Allen, 30, of the 600 block of Third Street in Warrenton, was charged Wednesday with first-degree burglary and theft. During the early morning hours Dec. 23, Allen went into a back room labeled “Employees only” at the Amoco gas station at 1450 South Service Road, Wentzville Police said. An employee called to him that he was not allowed back there, but he ignored her. While in the back room, he put a bottle of Crown Royal whiskey in his pocket and left, police said. Woman Raids Crash Cart at St. Joseph West Hospital for Drugs, Police Say

The woman told police she was in town to face drug charges.

A woman who told police she was in town to face drug charges attempted to steal narcotics from SSM St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake Saint Louis Dec. 2. Lake Saint Louis Police said a witness saw Jessica Puglisi, 25, breaking into a crash cart at the hospital and taking 15 vials of various medications, putting them in her purse and bra. Puglisi was charged Monday with misdemeanor theft. Her last known address was in the 2300 block of Oak Brook Drive in O’Fallon. Puglisi told police she had come back to town from Los Angeles to appear in court to face drug charges. Police searched her purse and found a glass pipe and paperclip, each with residue. Wentzville Police said the woman and another person entered an apartment near the woman's home, took the game console and pawned it.

A Wentzville woman faces criminal charges after police said she and another person broke into her neighbor’s apartment and stole an Xbox 360 game console. Karen Carter, of the 1100 block of Evergreen Court in Wentzville, was charged Friday with second-degree burglary and misdemeanor theft. Wentzville Police said Carter and another person entered another apartment in the 1100 block of Evergreen Court and stole the Xbox 360 and a cable. They then sold it to a pawnshop for $70, police said. Bail for Carter was set at $10,000 with the condition that she have no contact with her co-defendant. Wentzville Man Drops Off Friend, Drives Stolen Car to Utah

Police say a Wentzville man took a friend to an O'Fallon grocery store in a car that belonged to the friend's grandmother, and was arrested in Beaver County, Utah.

A Wentzville man suddenly developed an urge to drive to California on June 28. The problem was, he had just driven his friend to Aldi’s supermarket in O’Fallon in a car that belonged to his friend’s grandmother, according to O’Fallon Police. Kevin Bottoms, 20, of the 4000 block of Kellerton Place in Wentzville, was arrested in Beaver County, Utah for driving a car stolen in O'Fallon and stealing gasoline. Bottoms was charged Oct. 16 in St. Charles County Circuit Court for tampering with a vehicle. O’Fallon Police said Bottoms drove his friend to Aldi's market, at 8615 Veterans Memorial Drive in O’Fallon, on June 28 in a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt that belonged to his friend’s grandmother. Police: Man Stole, Pawned Shotguns Because He Didn't Like the Owner

Police said they found the pawn sales tickets for the shotguns with the defendant's name as the seller.

A St. Charles County man told police he took three shotguns and pawned them because he didn’t like the owner. Richard H. Samuelson, 24, of the 100 block of Evergreen Ridge Lane in St. Charles County east of Wentzville, was charged Sept. 13 with one count of stealing a firearm and two counts of receiving stolen property. A St. Charles County Sheriff’s deputy said in a report that Samuelson stole a Beretta 12-gauge semi-automatic shotgun on Sept. 6. He also pawned a Stoeger 12-gauge shotgun and another 12-gauge shotgun, knowing they were stolen, the deputy said. The deputy located two pawn tickets identifying Samuelson as the seller. He told police he took and pawned the guns because he didn’t like the owner, according to the report. …
