When Are Graduation Ceremonies for Holt and Timberland?

It's cap and gown time—post your grad's photo here and tell him or her how proud you are!

Graduation is coming up soon for more than 800 seniors in the Wentzville School District and in other school districts and colleges around the area. Timberland High School's graduation ceremonies will be held at 7 p.m. on Tues., May 28 at the Family Arena in St. Charles. Holt High School's graduation ceremonies will be held at 7 p.m. on Wed., May 29, also at the Family Arena. Doors open at 6 p.m. and no tickets are required for admission. Proud families are encouraged to upload their grad's picture to this story. In the caption, please tell us the graduate's name, school and plans for the future. Timberland Teacher to be Honored at Aerospace Spotlight Awards in Washington, D.C.

James Weber, a Project Lead the Way instructor, was recognized for his accomplishments in teaching students about math and science and preparing them for tomorrow's technologies.

James Weber, a Project Lead the Way (PLTW) instructor at Timberland High School has earned him recognition as an American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Foundation 2013 Educator Achievement Award Winner. “I am both honored and humbled to receive this award,”  Weber said. “When I see all the extra work that teachers at Timberland High School do beyond the scope of their job, it is difficult to consider that I should be the one who gets recognized.” Weber mentors students and encourages them to pursue an area of study in STEM—Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. “Teaching is an important part of my life, and teaching aerospace engineering has been an inspiration. Holt, Timberland Named to Top High Schools List

The list of the nation's top high schools from U.S. News & World Report included 142 Missouri high schools.

Both high schools in the Wentzville School District—Holt High School and Timberland High School—were named to to a list of the nation's top high schools by U.S. News & World Report. Of the 142 Missouri high schools named to the list, both schools received a bronze medal rating. U.S. News & World Report reviewed more than 21,000 schools across the country for its ratings list, analyzing each school by student performance on reading and math assessments, and then figuring in student/teacher ratios and college readiness to determine national rankings. When is the 2013 NFL Draft? And Which Round Will Montee Ball Be Drafted?

Wentzville-native Montee Ball has been projected to be selected in the 2013 NFL Draft as high as No. 18 with the Dallas Cowboys. But most pundits think he's slated for a second round pick at best. The NFL Draft begins April 25.

As the 2013 NFL Draft nears, Wentzville residents have extra reason to watch. That's because Wentzville-native Montee Ball is expected to be drafted before all is said and done.  Ball, a Timberland High School graduate, was one of the University of Wisconsin's most prolific running backs over the last four years, when he rushed for 5,140 yards. Ball, the Football Bowl Subdivision's all-time leading touchdown scorer, is one of the top running back's in this year's draft class. Timberland Presents Classic Play Within a Play 'Noises Off'

Noises Off will be presented on March 14, 15 and 16 at Timberland High School.

Timberland High School drama students will perform “Noises Off” on March 14, 15 and 16 at 7:30 pm in the Carl Reininger Theater. “Noises Off” is a classic British farce about a play within a play. Act one opens with the cast rehearsing with less than twenty-four hours before the show opens—lines are forgotten and nerves are frayed. In act two, we see the play during a performance one month later, from backstage where relationships are slowly being revealed and ruined, along with the play itself. In act three, we see the play as the run of the show is almost over, and everyone and everything is slowly falling apart. This unbelievably hilarious show is written by …

Wentzville's Montee Ball Works Out at NFL Combine

Timberland graduate looking to get drafted into the NFL.

Timberland High School graduate, Montee Ball, is looking to prove himself over the next few days (2/23-2/26) at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis. For the past four years, Ball has been a running back for the Wisconsin Badgers, where he ran for 5,140 yards on 924 carries and 77 touchdowns. NFL.com, has this assessment of the 5-11, 212 pound running back: Reliable, hard-working zone back. Presses the line of scrimmage, and generally has good vision and feel to find the cutback lane or cut away from penetrating defenders. Timberland Dancer Moves to Semi-Final Round of Teen Talent Competition

Nalini Jones is competing with Melvin Williams, a singer from Riverview Gardens.

Nalini Jones, 16, a dancer from Timberland High School, has moved on to the semi-final round of the 3rd Annual St. Louis Teen Talent Competition.  This showcase of talented teen performers was first produced at the Fox Theatre in 1985 and 1986. In 2011, it was given new life by the Fox Performing Arts Charitable Foundation. The competition spotlights singers, dancers, musicians, comedians and circus arts performers. Jones is performing with Melvin "Melle MoRell" Williams, a singer from Riverview Gardens. The pair's performance will include singing, dancing and acting. "It's very contemporary," Jones said of her dancing, "It combines lyrical with hip-hop." The Timberland sophomore has been dancing since she was four years old. She is …

Timberland Seniors Sign National Letters of Intent

Timberland athletes will be attending the University of Missouri, Maryville University, the Missouri University of Science and Technology and Truman State University.

Andrew Sansoucie, swimming Timberland High School senior Andrew Sansoucie has committed to swim for the Tigers of the University of Missouri. With his mother Nan and father David by his side, Andrew signed his National Letter of Intent at Timberland High School. “I got to the campus, and Mizzou just felt right. I had the chance to spend some time with the team, and we all got along great, it was a good fit. The coaching staff is incredible, and I’ve already bonded with them.”  Andrew won two more state titles at this year's Missouri State High School Swimming and Diving Championships Nov. 9-10 at the Rec-Plex Arena in St. Peters. Matchups Set for District Football Playoffs

Week 10 kicks off the new-look Missouri football playoff format.

Week 10 of the high school football season in Missouri is no longer a battle to improve playoff standings. Instead, it's a chance to keep playing—or see a season end.  Wanting to have every regular season game count, the powers that be changed the playoff format this season. A complex point system was created to make sure every game that was played weighed into the playoff seeding.
