Wentzville Patch issued a challenge to our readers and Facebook friends on Dec. 4: Help us get to 1,000 Facebook "likes," and we'll pay for free donuts and coffee. READ MORE: Help Us to 1,000 Facebook Fans, and the Donuts and Coffee are on Us! You were up to that challenge. You invited friends and family to our Facebook page, and the number started to climb. From 849 likes, it went up and up and up—sometimes by one or two, then a lull, then a surge of 20. Then, on Dec. 30, we made it! As of this writing, we sit at 1016 likes. Thank you so much! Twelve Trays of Donuts at Wentzville Donut Café
On the twelfth day of Christmas, Downtown Wentzville has for me: twelve trays of donuts.
Ross and Tina Hopkins have owned and managed the Wentzville Donut Café since May of 2012. They've perfected a from-scratch recipe using the best ingredients to produce not only a traditional glazed donut, but also a yummy flavor-filled bismarck (custard, angel fluff, strawberry, streusel apple), apple fritters, fruit rings and cinnamon rolls.
