A Maryland Heights man is accused of breaking into a series of storage areas and travel trailers at facilities in Wentzville and St. Charles. David Kellerman, 40, of the 2100 block of Butterfield Drive in Maryland Heights, was charged Wednesday with two counts of first-degree property damage in St. Charles. He was charged Friday with four counts of second-degree burglary, three counts of property damage, two counts of felony stealing (more than $500) and three counts of misdemeanor stealing in Wentzville. Maryland Heights Police arrested Kellerman Monday. Daniel J. Reynolds was charged with tampering with a motor vehicle.
A man wrecked a minivan that was reported stolen in Wentzville on April 16. Daniel J. Reynolds, 42, of the 800 block of Railway Circle in Wentzville, was charged April 24 with tampering with a motor vehicle. Wentzville Police said Reynolds stole a 2005 Dodge Caravan from the 1400 block of Vero Drive April 16, taking the vehicle without the owner’s consent. Wentzville Police put out a vehicle description and license plate number, and an O’Fallon Police officer spotted the Caravan on eastbound Interstate 70 near Mid Rivers Mall Drive. The O’Fallon officer pursued the Caravan as it exited onto Mid Rivers Mall Drive and struck another vehicle. Both vehicles were disabled. St. Peters Police officers arrested Reynolds. A 19-year-old motorist who led Wentzville Police on a car chase reaching speeds up to 100 mph, driving into oncoming lanes on dark, curvy roads told officers he fled because he wanted to take his girlfriend to prom on Saturday and didn’t want to spend the night in jail. Daniel Buck, 19, of the 200 block of Church Street in O’Fallon, was charged with resisting arrest by fleeing and creating a substantial risk of injury or death. Wentzville Police said an officer spotted Buck Saturday near McHugh Road and Highway 61 driving with license plates registered to another vehicle. A police officer retrieving insurance cards from a glove box sniffed out more than a pound of marijuana in the back seat of a car Friday in Wentzville. A Wentzville police officer said he pulled over a driver at about 8:32 p.m. Friday at the 1390 Continental Drive. The officer reported a license plate check revealed the driver’s license was suspended and he had other outstanding warrants. The driver, Samuel Earl Thomas, 30, of the 8200 block of Jefferson Avenue in Vinita Park, was arrested. The officer said Thomas asked him to retrieve his insurance cards from his glove compartment. Wentzville Police are looking for a man who is thought to have stolen prescription medicine from a Wentzville Walgreen's store, KMOV reports. On March 30, the man was caught behind the counter of the pharmacy of a Walgreen's in Washington, MO. He was later caught by surveillance cameras at a Wentzville Walgreen's, where he fled in a silver or tan Nissan Pathfinder. Both departments are searching for the suspect and asking for the public's help. Anyone with information can call the Wentzville Police Department at 636-327-5105.

Wentzville Police said William Held paid for the trash can, but not the items he stashed inside, with a stolen credit card.
A Wright City man was charged with theft after police said he snuck items out in a trash can. William Held, 39, of the first block of Appaloosa Way in Wright City, was charged March 26 with felony theft. Wentzville Police said security tapes show Held filled a trash can inside a box with items from Target in Wentzville, 1883 Wentzville Parkway. He then paid only for the trashcan and left the store. Held also used a credit card that was not his, police said. When they called the credit card’s owner, a woman told police Held had been staying with her disabled son and had been taking advantage of him, according to court documents. Wentzville Police said Mark Anthony Taylor had sex with an 11-year-old girl in a Wentzville motel. Taylor had been staying with the girl’s family at a motel in Wentzville at the time.
A man was indicted on charges that he had sex with an 11-year-old girl in Wentzville. Mark Anthony Taylor, 26, was indicted by a St. Charles County grand jury March 15 on charges of first-degree statutory rape and first-degree statutory sodomy. Wentzville Police said Taylor subjected the girl to sexual touching and had sexual relations with her between Nov. 1 and Dec. 31 in 2012. The girl told police she had asked Taylor to stop, but he wouldn't listen. Taylor had been staying with the girl’s family at a motel in Wentzville at the time.
