A police officer carried the wounded juvenile to an ambulance a block and a half away.
Wentzville Police have issued a press release confirming that yesterday's shooting involved a mother and son. Major Paul West stated that the 911 call received by police at 3:36 Saturday afternoon came from the juvenile victim, who said that his mother had shot him and then shot herself. The press release stated: When officers arrived at the house they found a juvenile male that was severely wounded lying on the driveway in front of the residence. Fearing for child’s safety and to protect him from further harm, the officer dragged him away from the front of the residence. Being unable and unwilling to bring an ambulance into a potentially dangerous situation, the officer picked the child up and carried him to the ambulance that was …

Laurie Anderson was found dead in a home in the 200 block of Niagra Drive, police say.
Police have released the name of the woman who died in a shooting in Wentzville Saturday afternoon. Major Paul West of the Wentzville Police Department confirm that Laurie Anderson was found dead in a home in the 200 block of Niagra Drive. Police received a 911 call at 3:36 p.m. and found one victim, a juvenile male, in the driveway, bleeding from gunshot wounds. The officer carried the juvenile to an ambulance.
