Closure is expected to last until Sept. 23.
The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has confirmed that it will close westbound Route D between Route 94 and Wildlife Lane (near Route DD) between Monday, Sept. 12 and Friday, Sept. 23. The Busch Wildlife main entrance and the entrance to the shooting range will remain open while westbound Route D is closed. The work will widen Route D and add shoulders between Route 94 and Route DD. Drivers can use Route 94, I-64 and Route DD to detour around the closure.

Accident occurred early this morning.
A Wentzville man was injured early this morning in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 94 west of Route N. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident took place at 8:37 a.m. A 2004 Infinity G35X, driven by Mitchelle L. Litvan, 31, O'Fallon, was stopped for traffic. A 2000 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Robert A. Cooley, 42, Wentzville, failed to stop. The front of the Silverado struck the rear of the Infinity. A passenger in the truck, Robert A. Cooley, Jr., 14, sustained minor injuries. He was taken to Progress West Hospital by St. Charles County Ambulance. All involved were wearing seat belts, according to the report.

The road will be closed east of Defiance until Thursday.
The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will close a section of westbound Route 94 east of Defiance for four days starting today, weather permitting, as part of a project to rebuild shoulders on the roadway. Crews will close westbound Route 94 from Route F to Walnut Springs Drive, just east of Defiance. Drivers can take westbound Route F to Defiance Road to Route 94 to detour around the closure. During this work, Route 94 in Defiance will be open in both directions. The roadway should reopen on Thursday.

Repair work will now be done after July 4.
The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has again postponed closing a section of eastbound Route 94 near the Busch Wildlife Area due to weather concerns. The closure, slated to begin today, will now start after July 4. The 12-day closure will let crews to rebuild shoulders on the roadway. Crews will close eastbound Route 94 from Little Femme Osage Creek to just south of Francis Howell High School. Drivers can use Route DD and Route D to detour around the closure.

East-West Gateway board is schedule to vote on funding June 29.
Funding to replace the Daniel Boone Bridge on Interstate 64 and Highway 40 over the Missouri River likely will be approved for final funding next month, according to an East-West Gateway Council of Governments official. “That project is in our Transportation Improvement Plan funding and MoDOT (Missouri Department of Transportation) has included it in their Transportation Improvement Plan,” said Jim Wild, senior manager for planning and programming at East-West Gateway. However, the funding still would have to be approved by the East-West Gateway Board of Directors, Wild said. The bridge funding will be on the board’s June 29 agenda. Three vehicle crash occurred May 13.
A Wentzville man was involved in a three-vehicle accident on westbound Highway 94 at Siedentop Road. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the accident occurred at noon on Friday, May 13. A 2010 Chevrolet Impala, driven by Byron J. Watts, 64, Edwardsville, IL., was heading westbound on Highway 94 in lane 3. A 2001 Honda Accord, driven by Ramesh Bathineni, 33, O'Fallon, was northbound on Siedentop. A third car, a 2007 Chevy Tahoe driven by Brett A. Westhoff, 41, Wentzville, was stopped on southbound Siedentop at a red light. Bathineni traveled across Highway 94 on a green light. The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) and its contractor, Fred Weber, Inc., have confirmed the closure of Route 94 at Mid Rivers Mall Drive at 9 p.m. nightly Monday through Wednesday to place girders for the new Mid Rivers Mall Drive bridge, weather permitting. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. the following morning. Only one direction will be closed at a time. Drivers can use Mid Rivers Mall Drive, Central School Road and Kisker Road to detour around the closures. Crews will close westbound Route 94 at 9 p.m. Monday. Accident occurred on westbound Highway 370.
A Wentzville woman was involved in a two-vehicle accident on westbound Highway 370, west of Missouri 94. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the accident occurred at 2:02 a.m. on Saturday, April 16. A 2007 Saturn Aura, driven by Lucas M. Thornburgh, 26, Florissant, struck the rear of a 2004 Dodge Intrepid driven by Monica E. Sherman, 22, Wentzville. After the impact, the Saturn travelled off the roadway. Thornburgh and his passenger, Krystal A. Kennedy, 25, Florissant, both sustained minor injuries. They were both taken to St. Joseph Health Center by St. Charles County Ambulance. Sherman was not injured. Thornburgh was not wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
