Wentzville Tattoo Shop Owner Sentenced to 20 Years on 23 Charges

The former Wentzville businessman installed a hidden camera in a unisex restroom at the shop, which led to a myriad of charges against the owner.

A former Wentzville tattoo shop owner was sentenced Monday to 20 years in prison. The man. Bruce Hymes, 42, of Wentzville, pleaded guilty Sept. 7 to 19 charges and no contest to four more charges. Circuit Court Judge Jon A. Cunningham sentenced Hymes Monday. Hymes first was arrested in August 2011 after an employee at Full Moon Studios, 1433 Wentzville Parkway, found a video camera hidden in an air duct in a restroom used by employees and customers. When the employee confronted Hymes, the tattoo parlor owner began pulling the camera and wires out of the duct. He pleaded no contest to the invasion of privacy and tampering with evidence charges, as well as third-degree domestic assault and one count of unlawful use of a weapon. Hymes pleaded…
